About Me

I started taking photos as a girl, and when it came time to decide a potential career path, there was nothing I could think of that would make me happier than being a photojournalist for a living. I shot sporting events for my high school with nothing more than the point-and-shoot provided by the tech prep program at the high school which I was a part of. I attended Ohio University from 2009 – 2013 where I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication with a specialization in Sports Management and Administration. Sports are a passion of mine, and I was selected to attend the Sports Shooter Academy in 2013 where I worked along side some of the top sports photojournalist in the country. I have worked for WOUB during my time on campus, providing them with photographs of various sporting events. I had an internship with the Southern Ohio Copperheads, a summer collegiate baseball team sponsored by the MLB, and was their team photographer and designer for their 2012 summer season. Most recently, I interned at the Daily Hampshire Gazette in Northampton. I am currently living in the Boston area freelancing with Wicked Local (Gatehouse Media).

” The camera is a remarkable instrument. Saturate yourself with your subject, and the camera will all but take you by the hand and point the way. ”

-Margaret Bourke-White
